Year 7 Math
Make a strong start to high-school maths across the NSW NESA Stage 4 syllabus — integers, algebra and equations introduced clearly, in small Blacktown classes.
What we cover
Aligned to the NSW NESA Stage 4 Mathematics syllabus. Year 7 introduces algebra and formal equations — getting these right sets up everything that follows in high school.
Computation with integers
Operations with positive and negative integers, indices and the order of operations.
Fractions, decimals & percentages
Calculating with and converting between fractions, decimals and percentages.
Algebraic techniques
Introducing pronumerals — simplifying, expanding and substituting into expressions.
Equations
Solving simple linear equations and representing relationships.
Length, area & angles
Perimeter, area and angle relationships, including parallel lines.
Data & probability
Collecting, displaying and analysing data, and the language of probability.
Taught by someone who's done it.

Common questions
My child is nervous about high-school maths — can you help them settle in?
Absolutely. Year 7 introduces algebra, which is new for everyone. We teach it in small, clear steps so students build confidence early rather than falling behind.
Why do so many students struggle with algebra in Year 7?
Algebra introduces abstract thinking — letters representing numbers — which feels unfamiliar after years of working with concrete arithmetic. We bridge that gap explicitly, connecting algebra to number patterns students already understand.
How often do students do practice problems in sessions?
Every session includes worked examples and independent practice, not just explanation. Maths is learned by doing, and we set up every student with enough practice that the methods feel automatic before they see them in a test.
How big are the classes?
Classes are kept small — between 1 and 5 students — so every student gets personal attention and their questions actually get answered each lesson. Prefer one-on-one? Private 1:1 sessions are available on request.
Can I try a class before enrolling?
Yes. Your first trial class is completely free, with no payment details required. If it's not the right fit, there's no obligation.
Where are classes held?
In person at our Blacktown centre on Main Street — easily reached from Seven Hills, Quakers Hill, Woodcroft, Marayong, Kings Langley, Doonside, Lalor Park and Rooty Hill.
