Common questions
How much past-paper practice do you do?
A lot — particularly in Terms 3 and 4. We work through past HSC papers under timed conditions and review every mistake so it does not recur.
How much Calculus is in the Year 12 Advanced course?
Calculus is the centrepiece — differentiation rules (product, quotient, chain), integration and the definite integral all feature prominently in both Paper 1 questions and the high-mark items. We teach each technique to mastery, then drill exam-style applications.
What Financial Mathematics topics appear most often in HSC exams?
Annuities and loan repayments are consistently tested each year — both formula-based calculations and interpretation of results. We build strong fluency in these alongside the statistics topics (normal distribution, bivariate data) that appear in the later sections of Paper 1.
How big are the classes?
Classes are kept small — between 1 and 5 students — so every student gets personal attention and their questions actually get answered each lesson. Prefer one-on-one? Private 1:1 sessions are available on request.
Can I try a class before enrolling?
Yes. Your first trial class is completely free, with no payment details required. If it's not the right fit, there's no obligation.
Where are classes held?
In person at our Blacktown centre on Main Street — easily reached from Seven Hills, Quakers Hill, Woodcroft, Marayong, Kings Langley, Doonside, Lalor Park and Rooty Hill.
