Year 11 Physics
Build the mechanics and electromagnetism foundations of Preliminary Physics — Modules 1–4 of the NSW syllabus — with clear, worked-example teaching in Blacktown.
What we cover
Aligned to the NSW NESA syllabus. Year 11 Physics is where students either build genuine problem-solving skill or fall behind — we make the maths and the concepts click together.
Kinematics
Describing motion — displacement, velocity and acceleration in one and two dimensions, including vectors and relative motion.
Dynamics
Forces, Newton's laws, momentum and energy — connecting cause and motion through worked problems.
Waves and Thermodynamics
Wave behaviour, sound, the ray model of light and heat transfer — the physics of energy in motion.
Electricity and Magnetism
Electrostatics, circuits and magnetic fields — building the foundation for Year 12 electromagnetism.
Taught by someone who's done it.

Meet the whole teamEvery class follows the same structure.
Based on cognitive science — it minimises load and builds durable understanding and exam confidence.
Class review
Rapid retrieval practice of past concepts — active recall to beat the forgetting curve.
Explicit instruction
Theory broken into the smallest parts, taught in simple, consistent language.
Guided practice
Worked examples together, tutor scaffolding fading as competence grows.
Independent practice
Exam-style questions with instant feedback, so errors are caught before they stick.
Exit test
A short end-of-class check on retention; targeted homework where needed.
Homework
Weekly consolidation that moves class learning into long-term memory.

Common questions
I find the maths in Physics hard — can you help?
Yes. A lot of Year 11 Physics difficulty is really maths difficulty. We build the algebra and trigonometry skills alongside the physics so problem-solving stops feeling like guesswork.
What topics are covered across the four Year 11 Physics modules?
The Preliminary course covers Kinematics, Dynamics, Waves and Thermodynamics, and Electricity and Magnetism — building both the mathematical techniques and the physical intuition the HSC demands.
How does Year 11 Physics prepare students for the HSC year?
Every Year 11 module connects directly to a Year 12 topic — Kinematics leads into Advanced Mechanics, and Electricity and Magnetism underpins Electromagnetism. We teach the Preliminary content with those links explicit so Year 12 feels like a progression, not a reset.
How big are the classes?
Classes are kept small — between 1 and 5 students — so every student gets personal attention and their questions actually get answered each lesson. Prefer one-on-one? Private 1:1 sessions are available on request.
Can I try a class before enrolling?
Yes. Your first trial class is completely free, with no payment details required. If it's not the right fit, there's no obligation.
Where are classes held?
In person at our Blacktown centre on Main Street — easily reached from Seven Hills, Quakers Hill, Woodcroft, Marayong, Kings Langley, Doonside, Lalor Park and Rooty Hill.
